Choose to be blessed

My husband and I were asked to move in with his mom and stepfather. We didn't want to do it at first, but after weeks of prayer we felt the Lord was leading us to sacrifice and move in with my in-laws. We believed that God had a purpose for us to make this move.  To make a long story short, there were ulterior motives for asking us to move in which made life quite stressful.  And what at first seemed like a mistake on our part to move in, we found that it was actually a blessing in disguise. My husband started working for a new department and we hadn't anticipated him not being able to work overtime, which was a major blow to our finances.  We also were pleasantly surprised by an unexpected pregnancy.  Had we not listened to the leading of the Lord and had not moved in with the in-laws, we would not have been able to survive on my husbands new pay, and the place we were renting was too small for our new addition. We could not have seen what was coming down the pipe with our finances and a new baby, but God knew.  I could become bitter and choose to look at this situation and feel victimized by other peoples agendas, but instead I choose to look at all the blessings that the Lord has given us and be grateful.  I believe in any situation in where we can find ourself feeling like a victim of someone else's evil motives, we can also find the Lord at work in our lives if we choose.  So Choose to be Blessed!

God works all things for good!

It’s so crazy the way God works!  Okay, about 8 years ago I was misdiagnosed with depression, and the medication for depression caused symptoms of Bipolar disorder.  So for about 5 years I basically had chemically induced Bipolar disorder.  With all my mania, I dabbled in many different fields.  I was a Realtor, Interior Designer, had an online Bookstore, Make-up consultant, Real estate Marketing consultant, Direct Marketing consultant, studied to be a Christian Counselor, and Family Financial advisor.  Well about 3 years ago, I found a Dr. who realized I had sleep apnea, which was the cause for my initial symptoms of depression.  Within a year I was off all medication and have been fine ever since.  Anyways, I started making Christian Jewelry as a hobby which turned into a part-time business (trying to help with the finances beings a SAHM) and in starting this business I have learned so much, ~how to start a business, ~how to run a business from home ~how to create a website, ~SEO for my website, ~marketing my business and so on and so on.  I’m having great time learning and creating, but I didn’t really feel like this was the end all.  Then a few weeks ago at a womens Christian conference, it hit me like a ton of bricks, all this experience and knowledge I have gotten, I’m supposed to use to help other women (SAHM) start or manage their own business from home.  I was so excited about this revelation, but figured it would have to wait a while since I’m still working on my own business.  So I gave it to God to use me for his will (thinking he was going to wait for me to be ready), and ever since then its like moms have been coming out of the wood works looking for help either starting a business or starting a website!  So once again it’s not about me or my timing but its all about God and his timing. I’m so excited that God has chosen to use me, however, I never thought it would be in this way, helping other women. I thought it was going to be through my jewelry!  God is so amazing!
